Welcome back to the second half of the Summer term.
We started the week with years 3 and 5 visiting Intech Science Museum in Winchester. They had a terrific time and took part in a range of exciting activities and workshops. Following their return, the bus driver mentioned that he had never received so many thank-yous. Well done Jaguars and Tigers for showing such respect to others and for representing the school so beautifully.
Ten of our Year 5 and 6 pupils visited St Francis Primary School on Wednesday to take part in the Island Games trials. They participated in netball, handball and Rugby games and we are now waiting to hear if they have been selected.
I had the pleasure of taking Golden Worship today – that always brightens my Friday morning. We celebrated a range of fantastic writing and Maths work as well as congratulating children on a number of other achievements. It makes me very proud of our Brighstone Children!
In what has been a difficult week for so many staff and pupils, it has been wonderful to share so many highlights with the children this week; it was the aspect of being Chair of Governors that Roy Bromley loved. The children were always at the heart of everything he did for the school and he will remain at the heart of the Brighstone family forever. God bless.
