Musicians line up for folk and blues fair
ISLANDERS can dust off their rhythm and blues and get ready to dance on May 17, when the Wolverton Folk and Blues Fair returns for its fourth year.
This year, the annual fair, at Wolverton Manor, Shorwell, will raise money for leukaemia research.
The main stage will play host to Island favourites such as The Dance Preachers, Second Time Around, MoonShiner, Cat Skellington and the Brighstone Barnacles.
New to the fair is an acoustic stage inside a beer tent. Acts will include Paul Armfield, Nils Mason and All Washed Up.
Organiser Tim Hollis said: “The fair looks set to be a celebration of all that’s good about our Island’s local food and music talent.”
There will be an IW real ale tent, barbecue and tea tent.
Activities have also been organised for children, including a circus skills workshop.
Advance tickets are available from the Village Shop, Brighstone; Briddlesford Lodge Farm Shop; the Shorwell Shop and Waterstones Bookshop, Newport.
