Dear Parents and Carers,
With only two weeks of term left, our school year seems to be going very quickly. We seem to have a huge amount to pack into the time that we have left before Easter. Along with our daily learning activities there are:- enrichment activities, trips, staff training and end of term assessments.
Last week our Year 4 children went on a residential trip to Little Canada in Wootton. They had a fantastic time and were a pleasure to be with. They had the opportunity to try a number of problem solving and adventure activities; all of the staff were impressed by the resilience and resourcefulness that the children showed. Well done to all of them for taking on the challenges with courage and determination.
I would like to thank the children and parents who joined us at St Peter’s church in Shorwell for the Mothering Sunday service. It was really uplifting to share in a time of worship led by Bishop Christopher. The children were amazing and so many people have commented on how well they read, sang and supported the whole service. They were great ambassadors for the school, the community and their own families.
We have our Parent Consultation Evenings for this term on Monday 26th March and Wednesday 28th March 2018. Thank you to all of the parents who have already contacted the office to make an appointment. We would like to encourage all parents to take the opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher as this is an important opportunity to be updated on progress and attainment for the term.
Best wishes, Mrs Fox
