Dear Parents and Carers,
Celebrating success continues to be a theme for Brighstone over the past week. Knowing how much has been achieved and what we have ahead of us for the next two weeks makes me feel very proud of our children and staff.
Last Tuesday our year 6 children attended their leaver’s service at Portsmouth Cathedral. This was an important milestone for the children as they came together with other schools from across the diocese to reflect on their time at primary school and to consider the future ahead of them. The theme for this year was stewardship and we hope that as our year 6 children move on to secondary school they will realise that every one of them can make a difference in the world.
We have recently interviewed for two new members of staff; one for a class teacher for year five and the other for a learning support assistant. We are pleased to be able to share that we were successful in appointing for both posts. We are looking forward to welcoming Mrs Samantha Sharp and Mrs Lorraine Eggleton to our staff. Mrs Sharp will share the year five class with Mrs Denness. The children will have the opportunity to meet with her on the transition morning this Thursday. Mrs Eggleton will be working as a learning support assistant across the school.
We are looking forward to an exciting week ahead of us.
Best Wishes
Mrs Fox
