Issue 24, 18th March, 2018, Brighstone Buzz

We have welcomed a number of visitors to Brighstone Primary this week.  The children were excited to see Bishop Christopher on Tuesday and listened carefully as he talked of his memories of Brighstone and our late Chair of Governors Roy Bromley.  Bishop Christopher...

Another week comes to the end bathed in sunshine and warmth.  It was wonderful to see children cycling and scootering to School again.  Last time we won the scooter pods which are now situated on the playground and I am really looking forward to winning some scooters...

Issue 21, 12th February, Brighstone Buzz

It has been a fairy tale fantastic day at Brighstone today. The Children in Bee Class were almost unrecognisable as they all arrived in their wonderful outfits. I even had to look twice as Grandma (Mrs Cousins) and little Red Riding Hood (Mrs Tate) arrived at school...

Issue 20, Brighstone Buzz, 5th February, 2016

What an exciting week it has been! My Monday began with opening the gates to a score of scooters and cyclists all enjoying the fresh air and exercise of travelling to school by their own steam or should I say foot power. The scooter skills and Dr Bike run by Tom from...

Issue 19, 29th January, 2016, Brighstone Buzz

It has been a very soggy week but that has not dampened our spirits here at Brighstone Primary School. The whole school sang their hearts out on Thursday as we bid a final farewell to the lovely Revd. Helen O’Sullivan. Thanks to all of the kind donations the school...

Issue 17, 15th January, 2016, Brighstone Buzz

Brrrrr! There is no doubt that Winter has arrived. The children are very excited that snow has been mentioned by the weather forecasters. If we do happen to wake up to snow at any point we will keep you updated with the school status via our text message system and...

Parent Survey – Feedback

“Brighstone School is an excellent school. Very happy with the progress my child is making”

“My child has come on in leaps and bounds and has massively surprised me. I am very happy.”

Thanks to all parents who took part in our recent Parent Questionnaire. We are proud to report that 100% of parents who responded said that their child is happy and feels safe at our school. The responses this year also show an overall improvement in the school’s performance in meeting particular pupils’ needs, supporting learning, receiving information about progress and dealing with bullying – and it was great to see that you feel we are good at keeping you well informed.

Our thanks to all parents who completed the questionnaire.
