Dear Parents and Carers,
It is hard to believe that tomorrow it will be exactly one month until Christmas Eve. Every week from now until the end of term is packed with a wide range of activities that will enhance and broaden the learning experiences for the children.
This week the children in year 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a fun, engaging and interactive presentation from Island Roads linked into Road Safety Week. It was fascinating to hear how wide the remit of their work is: from emptying dog poo bins, right through to full repair and resurfacing works on our roads. The children were very welcoming and their well-behaved, enthusiastic participation was valued and recognised by the representatives from Island Roads. Thank you and well done to everyone involved.
Over the next few weeks our preparations for Christmas are going to be well underway. Next weekend will be the
beginning of Advent and this Wednesday (28th November) we have a whole school Eucharist Service in Church at 8.40am, this will be led by Rev. Clive Todd. All parents, family and friends are welcome to join us for the service, it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible there.
I am looking forward to seeing you next week at your child’s progress meeting with their class teacher. I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.
Best wishes, Mrs Fox
