I was delighted to sit in Golden Worship today and listen to the fantastic examples set by so many children. The majority of the teachers comments referred to tremendous effort and super motivation, I am so proud that we have a school filled with such independent learners I was particularly pleased to hear of so golden moments when children realise that they are able to do something that they have been persevering at. Well done Brighstone. I have had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with both year 3 and 6 this week and so I have seen examples of this first hand.
I have had lots of children ask me this week whether I have entered us into David Walliams competition, the winners will receive a visit from the man himself on World Book Day. The answer is yes, so fingers crossed.
World Book Day is just one of the exciting things coming up over the next few months. More information will be included in the Buzz soon.
I know that the weather forecast has been threatening snow and several parents have asked what will happen if it snows. This is clearly difficult to predict and depends on the severity of the snow. Should we wake up to a white blanket in the near future updates will be available on IOW radio and I will use our text system to keep you informed.
Have a lovely weekend.
