Dear Parents and Carers,
Having eagerly anticipated the start of spring in our last edition of the Buzz, we found ourselves back in the depths of winter last week. The long anticipated snow finally arrived and I would like to thank parents for being so supportive about last week’s school closure.
On Monday we celebrated world book day, our theme was based on a selection of books by Julia Donaldson. The children worked in their houses building on cross-curricular activities that enhanced the appreciation of the books. It was a real privilege to see how supportive the children of all ages were to each other.
I would like to remind parents that there is an invitation to attend an information session on e-safety with Rob Ellis. This will be on Tuesday 13th March at 1.45pm I do hope you will be able to join us as this is an important area where we need to support with the safeguarding of our children.
At the end of this term we will be saying goodbye to Mr Givens, he will be leaving us at Easter. We would like to congratulate him on being successful in his new appointment that gives him an opportunity to develop his career in a larger school with more responsibility. We wish him all the best and good luck for the future.
We have our Parent Consultation Evenings for this term on Monday 26th March and Wednesday 28th March 2018. We would like to encourage all parents to take the opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher as this is an important opportunity to be updated on progress and attainment for the term. Appointments can be booked through the school office from the week beginning 12th March 2018.
Best wishes
