Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the end of term, our thoughts turn to Easter. This weekend marks the start of Holy Week with Palm Sunday. During the coming week we will be thinking about our preparations for Easter. On Wednesday we have a whole school Eucharist in church. The children will be encouraged to wear the Easter bonnets that they will have made for the BSA competition. Last year’s event was one of celebration and reflection, we hope that as many parents as possible will join us for the service starting at 8.40am.
We also have our tradition of the ‘Bottle Top Hunt’ (including the search for the ‘Golden Egg’) happening this week. Will Wolverton, the winning house from last year, retain their title? Watch this space! Please do continue to save and donate bottle tops, the more of them there are, the longer the fun will last and the better the competition.
Thank you to all of the parents who have already made an appointment for the Parent Consultation Evenings on Monday 26th March and Wednesday 28th March 2018. If you have not arranged an opportunity to meet with your child’s class teacher, it is not too late to do so. We would like to encourage all parents to come along and discuss their child’s ongoing progress and attainment. Please make the class teacher, Suzanne or Melissa aware if you are unable to attend on either of the dates and they can arrange to see you at an alternative time.
Our week will finish on Maundy Thursday with a whole school focus, for this we have planned an RE day. The children will be able to explore topics and themes, ask questions and develop understanding linked to views and beliefs that are represented by a range of religions.
I hope you all have a restful and enjoyable weekend. Don’t forget to move your clocks forward by one hour.
.Best wishes
