My spirits have been uplifted by our wonderful Harvest Festival. It was an amazing array of music, song and dance in thanks to God for the gifts he has given us. Your generous contributions will be collected by the hard working volunteers who run the Foodbank and passed on to local families who find themselves in need.
Many of you have also joined with us in support of another very worthwhile cause today. We joined in with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan. Huge thanks for your generous donations both of cakes and money. Money raised will go to ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone, from the moment they are diagnosed, through treatment and beyond.
I am very pleased to announce that following a lengthy recruitment process we have appointed a Year 6 classroom teacher to begin during October. There are one or two pieces of paperwork to complete before releasing any more information however I will be contacting the parents of Year 6 pupils on Monday.
Parent consultations have been underway this week. If you were unable to attend and would like to meet with your child’s teacher please ask for an appointment.
We have had a great response to the offer of free school meals in Key Stage 1 and Reception, Fish and Chips continue to be the favourite! This meal will be served on THURSDAY next week so do not miss out. If your child is entitled to a free school meal but has not tried them yet, why not take this opportunity. You can send a packed lunch just in case but please make sure that we know that you would like to book a dinner.
